OBJECTIVE: An extensive review and refresher course to prepare engineers for the Civil Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) (Geotechnical Engieering) examination. Successful passing of this exam qualifies the engineer for a PE license. This review covers in detail all materials relevant to the morning and afternoon sessions in the area of Geotechnical Eengineering. 

INSTRUCTOR: The course is taught by a Union College Professor of Engineering. The instructor is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), expert in his field, and has decades of professional experience.

COURSE FEE: The course fee is $1250 per participant if paying by check or purchase order; and $1287.50 if paying by credit card.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION: To register for this Professional Engineering Refresher course, simply fill out this PE Registration Form and return it with payment or purchase order to the Program Director at the address shown on the form.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Applications should be received by September 6, 2025 for the Fall 2025 course, and by January 4, 2026 for the Spring 2026 course.

BOOK: The NCEES handbook (PE CIVIL Handbook April 25) is the reference manual that will be made available to exam takers. Course participants will get extensive training on the use of this handbook. In addition, course participants will be shown step-by-step solutions to practice problems on the topics of the exam.

MEETING TIMES/LOCATION: All classes meet from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Union College's campus, Schenectady, NY 12308. Room location is to be announced to course registrants.

ATTENDANCE POLICY: Course participants who have no more than two unexcused absences from the class will receive a letter of completion.

WITHDRAWAL POLICY: Participants who wish to withdraw from the course must submit a written notice to the Program Director. Partial refunds will be issued as follows: notice received prior to the first class session - full refund less $100 processing fee; notice received prior to the third class session - half tuition. No refunds will be issued after the third class session.

Successful passing of Part A exam qualifies the engineer for an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) title. This course mainly focuses on the engineering sreas of the exam. 

INSTRUCTORS: The course is taught by Union College Professors of Engineering. All instructors are licensed Professional Engineers (PE), experts in their respective fields, and have professional experience.

COURSE FEE: The course fee is $1200 per participant if paying by check, money order or purchase order; and $1236 if paying by credit card.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION: To register for this FE Civil Engineering Refresher course, simply fill out this FE Registration Form and return it with payment or purchase order to the Program Director at the address shown on the form.

Books used include (1) FE Civil Engineering Review Manual, ISBN 978-1591265290, by Lindeburg, Professional Publications, and (2) FE Civil Practice Problems, ISBN 978-1591265306, by Lindeburg, Professional Publications. Course participants can purchase textbooks from the publisher or other online sources.
